Why it's among the most searched-for

Tenth most searched character on eBay.it. It is the only Base Set holo that was missing from the catalogue, with a PSA 10 Unlimited under €3,000: the most affordable Base Set in grade 10 after Venusaur.

What to know

The Gyarados holo from the 1999 Base Set, illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, in the Unlimited print run that also reached Italy in 2000. A card that grew quietly: ungraded copies are worth a few dozen euros, but only 2% of those sent to PSA get a 10, because Base Set printing has fragile edges and often off-centre cuts. Check the shadow to the right of the frame, which tells the Unlimited from the Shadowless, and the condition of the blue holo.
