Why it's among the most searched-for

A vintage Charizard graded 10 under €2,000: the non-holo version from Expedition 2002, with Hironobu Yoshida's artwork, is the concrete alternative to the Base Set for anyone wanting Italy's most searched Pokémon.

What to know

The Charizard from Expedition, the first set of the 2002 e-Card era, in the rare non-holographic version numbered 39/165 (the holo is 6/165 and is worth ten times as much). The card carries the e-Reader code on its bottom edge and a full-art illustration that sets it apart from earlier Charizards. The dark background and thin frame make centring decisive for a 10. Printed in Italian in 2003 in a small run.
