Umbreon-ex Ultra Premium Collection: contents and why to pre-order now

The Umbreon-ex Ultra Premium Collection is released on 6 November 2026: what a UPC usually contains, why it sells out and how the pre-order works.

A large matte black collector's box, sealed and unbranded, standing on the oak desk beside the window; next to it a white cotton glove, in soft morning light.

The 30th Celebration Umbreon-ex Night Ultra Premium Collection (Collezione Ultra Premium Serata Umbreon-ex) is released in Italy on 6 November 2026 and is the most anticipated sealed product of this Christmas. On Pokechrono it is available to pre-order at €390.90, against a list price of €229.90. Here we explain what an Ultra Premium Collection usually contains, why these boxes vanish within hours and what happens after you book one.

What is inside an Ultra Premium Collection

An Ultra Premium Collection, UPC to collectors, is the richest format The Pokémon Company dedicates to a single Pokémon. The formula has been stable for years: a promo card with a special treatment, here dedicated to Umbreon-ex, one or more metal display cards, more booster packs than an Elite Trainer Box and matching accessories such as a playmat, dice and markers.

The exact contents of this edition are those stated on the packaging and listed on the page for the Umbreon-ex Ultra Premium Collection. We prefer not to list piece by piece what we have not yet had in our hands: when the boxes reach our workshop, we update the page with photographs.

Why Umbreon

Umbreon has for years been the Pokémon most sought after by collectors of modern cards, and the 30th Celebration confirms it by choosing it for the line's flagship product. The reference is the Umbreon ex 161/131 Special Illustration Rare from Prismatic Evolutions (Evoluzioni Prismatiche): a card that trades ungraded between €1,000 and €1,700, and whose PSA 10 value over the last month stands at €4,600, up 26% over twelve months, according to PriceCharting, October 2026.

We are not saying the UPC promo will follow the same path. We are saying that the name on the box is the one that, in 2025 and 2026, moved more demand than any other.

Why UPCs sell out

The precedents speak for themselves. The 2022 Charizard Ultra Premium Collection and the 2023 Pokémon 151 one sold out in Italian shops within days, in some cases within hours, and have since been found only on the secondary market, at prices well above list.

There are three reasons. The print run is limited and is not reprinted. Retailers receive allocated quantities, often below the bookings they have taken. And a share of buyers purchase to resell, taking pieces off the shelves before a collector can even see them.

The price: €390.90 against a €229.90 list price

The official list price of the Umbreon-ex UPC is €229.90. On Pokechrono we sell it at €390.90, and we want to explain why without beating about the bush.

We do not receive boxes at distribution price in unlimited quantities: we have booked a precise number, paying the premium the wholesale market applies to a product already sold out before release. To that we add the seal check, rigid packaging and insured shipping, included in the price. Anyone who wants to try for it at list price would do well to try a shop on 6 November; anyone who wants the certainty of receiving it, sealed and checked, finds here the price that certainty carries today.

How pre-ordering works on Pokechrono

A pre-order is confirmed by payment and shipping starts on release day, 6 November 2026, in order of booking. Before closing the parcel we check the factory seal, photograph the box and place it in rigid packaging. The courier is tracked and insured for the full value of the order.

A pre-order is an order in every respect: if for any reason we were unable to deliver, the refund is in full. Details of timing, payment and guarantees are on the how it works page.

The Espeon-ex and Umbreon-ex Battle Decks, one week earlier

Anyone who wants to give Umbreon a companion will find, released on 30 October 2026, the pair of Espeon-ex and Umbreon-ex Battle Decks, available to pre-order at €94.90. They are two ready-to-play decks with the promo cards of the two Pokémon: a gift that also suits someone just starting out, and a way to have the two 30th Celebration Eevee evolutions on the same shelf.

In brief: released on 6 November 2026, pre-order at €390.90, shipped on release day with the seal checked and insurance included. The official contents are on the product page.
